When you are working in SEO and have a new website that needs marketing, the scope of the project can be quite a handful.
In the past, I have observed that when I work more hours for the website to have better outcomes, I would easily get distracted and thus, fewer work is performed. This is a common mistake for search engine optimizers when they start a project with a website. They jump into a project implementing all the changes possible right away resulting to little or no progress at all. This could be very stressful, especially when you are working with a timeline.
Because of this, I tried to find ways to strategically approach a project prioritizing the fastest and easiest way to earn online money for my clients. In this article you will find my SEO marketing plan that has done nothing but good to my SEO consulting work. You may as well try and implement this system into your business to see for yourselves the good results.
I call my system the Train Track Formula. The system is called as such since starting a project is like getting on a train. For example, you get on a train at the first stop and get off at its last. So, along the way, you will encounter several stops before you arrive on your destination. Delays must always be expected before you arrive at your destination.
The same idea goes with any home-based business or in this case, SEO. You cannot finish your project immediately since there are really no shortcuts. The project approach consists of several steps that you have to follow. Discipline is what differentiates a great SEO consultant from just a good one. The former knows how to navigate from the point of origin to finish with all tasks accomplished. He expects delays and knows how to strategically resolve them.
If the Train Track Formula idea still hasn’t clicked for you, this is my advice for you to do:
If you have an SEO project at hand that has an overwhelming amount of work, the key to finishing the project successfully is organization. Take time to analyze the scope of the project and estimate the amount of time that you need to finish everything. If say, you need a whole year to go through with the project, divide the tasks into 12 months using 12 folders, each folder containing tasks that are suitable to the month or weeks that you assigned them to. You should make sure to finish all tasks in one folder before going to the next. It is strongly advised to focus on the current task and not several tasks since this will really ensure your project’s progress up to its completion. Learn to prioritize on things that will give you a good image as well as let your client be lucrative.
This system works for me very well, you are most welcome to try this however you are encouraged to find a system that works for you and meets your needs. What is important is to take on an SEO project strategically to avoid being overwhelmed and burned out.
